The Central Research Network for Extraordinary Celestial Phenomena (CENAP) in Germany has reported a surge in UFO sightings, with 14,000 cases investigated by August 2026. Director Hansjürgen Köhler emphasizes the importance of scientific explanations for these phenomena, often attributing sightings to conventional sources like aircraft and balloons. The recent release of Pentagon UFO files has reignited public interest, but Köhler remains skeptical about the existence of extraterrestrial visitors.
