Palaeontologists from Oxford and Birmingham discovered hundreds of dinosaur footprints at Dewars Farm Quarry, dating back 166 million years. The site features a 'dinosaur highway' with tracks from herbivorous and carnivorous species, including megalosaurus. The excavation revealed five major trackways, with the longest over 150 metres. Professor Kirsty Edgar emphasized the significance of the site, being the UK's largest dinosaur track site and coinciding with the 200th anniversary of the scientific naming of dinosaurs.
