A French archaeological team discovered the ruins of a 3,400-year-old Egyptian town near Alexandria, possibly built by Akhenaten, Tutankhamun's father. The site, Kom el-Nugus, was thought to be settled only during the Hellenistic period. Notable finds include amphora jar fragments linked to Merytaton, Akhenaten's daughter, suggesting royal wine production. Other discoveries include artifacts from Pharaoh Seti II and architectural remnants of a temple for Ramesses II. This adds to a series of significant archaeological finds in Egypt this year.
