An elderly woman in southeast Romania used a 3.5kg piece of amber as a doorstop for decades. After her death, it was appraised and valued at around €1 million, becoming a national treasure of Romania. The amber is estimated to be 38 to 70 million years old and is now housed in the Provincial Museum of Buzău.
