'Alarming rise' in Russian executions of Ukrainian POWs, UN human rights mission says 😔
Cikk tartalma röviden
The UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine reported a significant increase in summary executions of Ukrainian soldiers by Russian forces, with 79 killings documented since late August. Witnesses described the execution of unarmed and injured soldiers, and public figures in Russia have called for inhumane treatment of Ukrainian POWs. The mission highlighted the use of dehumanizing language by Russian officials and the legal exemptions for military personnel from accountability. Recent incidents include the circulation of a photo showing a decapitated Ukrainian soldier.
