Alessandro 'Alex' Zanardi, former Formula 1 driver, passed away on May 1, just before his 60th birthday. His family announced his peaceful death and requested privacy during their mourning. Zanardi was known for his exceptional karting skills and later became a Formula 1 driver. He faced a life-altering accident in 2001 that led to the amputation of both legs but rebounded to become a successful para-cyclist, winning multiple Olympic and world titles. Tragically, he suffered another severe accident in 2020, which led to a long medical battle before his death.
