Amundi has moved another ETF from Luxembourg to Ireland, aiming for improved long-term performance for investors. This is part of a trend, as Ireland offers lower withholding tax on US dividends compared to Luxembourg. Ireland is gaining market share in the ETF sector, holding €1.6tn in assets, while Luxembourg has €387bn. Luxembourg is adapting by allowing semi-transparent ETFs and launching tokenized UCITS funds.
