A repatriation ceremony in Greece marked the return of eleven ancient Greek artifacts, including a votive figurine and a marble funerary relief. The items, valued at around $1 million, were recovered by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office as part of an ongoing investigation into antiquities trafficking. The DA highlighted the collaboration with Greek authorities and noted the recovery of over 120 antiquities. This follows a similar recovery of Italian artifacts linked to notorious smugglers.
