However, false claims about the treaty's implications, such as mandatory vaccinations and loss of state sovereignty, have circulated online. The treaty is not legally binding until adopted by states, and it explicitly affirms state sovereignty. Critics, including Slovakian Prime Minister Roberto Fico, have voiced concerns about the treaty, while the WHO maintains that it does not have authority over national laws.
