Argentine President Javier Milei faced a significant defeat in a Buenos Aires provincial election, with his party, La Libertad Avanza, receiving only 34% of the vote compared to the Peronist opposition's 47%. Milei acknowledged the loss as a 'clear defeat' and vowed to continue his libertarian reforms. The election results are seen as a critical indicator for the upcoming congressional midterms, highlighting the challenges Milei faces in expanding his party's influence against a dominant Peronist bloc.
