Armenian violinist Haik Kazazyan won the inaugural Classic Violin Olympus in Dubai, earning €200,000 and a handcrafted Stradivari-model violin. He impressed judges with performances of classical pieces and an unusual encore inspired by Frank Peter Zimmermann. Kazazyan, who began playing at age seven, feels a sense of responsibility to prove himself and continues to develop his music career. He also recently won the 2024 Rome Classic Violin Competition and encourages young musicians to listen to great recordings for inspiration.
