The Artemis astronauts are preparing for a lunar flyby, reviewing surface features to analyze and photograph. They are currently 271,979 km from Earth and approaching the Moon. Commander Reid Wiseman expressed high morale after speaking with his daughters. The crew includes Wiseman, Christina Koch, Victor Glover, and Jeremy Hansen, and they are set to achieve a historic milestone by venturing farther from Earth than any humans before. They have undergone geology training to document lunar features and have already seen the Moon's far side. Despite some issues with the space toilet, the mission aims to establish a permanent lunar base for future exploration.
