At least 18 people were killed in Russian strikes across Ukraine, with significant casualties in Zaporizhzhia and Kramatorsk. President Zelenskyy condemned Russia's actions as cynical, especially in light of their call for a ceasefire during the upcoming 9 May parade. The situation escalated with intensified strikes from both sides, including a Ukrainian drone attack in Russia that resulted in casualties.
