A powerful explosion at a fireworks factory in Malta injured two people and sent debris into the air. The blast occurred at the Ta' Lourdes factory, shaking buildings and causing glass to shatter. No workers were present at the factory during the incident. Local resident Edward Mercieca described the explosion as feeling like a massive hammer hitting his house. Prime Minister Robert Abela expressed his concern for those affected.
