Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer has been tasked by President Alexander Van der Bellen to form a new government after the far-right Freedom Party (FPÖ) won the election but lacks coalition partners. Nehammer's conservative People's Party refuses to collaborate with FPÖ leader Herbert Kickl, and other parties have also declined to work with FPÖ.
