Azerbaijan is considering a full withdrawal from the Council of Europe, as announced by President Ilham Aliyev at the fourth Shusha Global Media Forum. This consideration follows the suspension of the Azerbaijani delegation’s voting rights in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) in 2024. Aliyev described the deterioration in relations as "regrettable" and stated that while Baku is ready for normalisation, the other side should make the first move.
