Alexander Lukashenko has won another election in Belarus, which Western governments have condemned as a sham. The Central Election Committee reported an 86.8% victory for Lukashenko, with no credible opposition allowed to participate. EU officials criticized the election, while Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov defended its legitimacy. Exiled opposition leader Svetlana Tikhanovskaya dismissed the election as a farce, claiming she had won in 2020. Lukashenko has been in power since 1994. Teljes cikk (bbc.com europe)
