The Belgian federal prosecutor's office has requested the European Parliament to waive the immunity of Italian Socialist MEPs Alessandra Moretti and Elisabetta Gualmini in a bribery investigation involving Qatari officials. This request follows a corruption scandal that has implicated several lawmakers, including former Vice-President Eva Kaili.
