Fifteen medical and humanitarian workers were found in a mass grave in Rafah, including a UN worker and members of the Palestinian Civil Defence and Palestine Red Crescent Society. The UN condemned the targeting of health workers, highlighting the tragic circumstances of their deaths. The search for the bodies lasted a week, with the first team killed by the Israeli army on March 23. The Israeli military claimed they fired on vehicles they deemed suspicious.
