Oslo's Munch Museum awarded Brazilian artist Rosana Paulino with the inaugural Munch Award for her contributions to artistic freedom, accompanied by a NOK 300,000 prize. The award recognizes artists who demonstrate courage and integrity. Paulino's work addresses social, ethnic, and gender issues faced by Black women in Brazil, emphasizing the relevance of these issues across the African diaspora.
