The British Library has acquired previously unknown sketches and drafts by Sir Edward Elgar for 'Introduction and Allegro for Strings', providing insight into his creative process. The 15 pages, torn from Elgar’s sketchbook in 1930, include an unfinished organ piece and showcase his orchestration methods. The acquisition, costing £50,000, reunites the sketches with the rest of the sketchbook and will be displayed in the library’s Treasures Gallery. Teljes cikk (Euronews.com)
