Builders renovating a house in Belgium uncovered a hidden stash of gold worth €9 million while working on the property. The local police have secured the gold and are investigating ownership claims, with both the builders and the charity that owns the property potentially eligible to claim it. Belgian law allows the rightful owner five years to come forward, or else the treasure will be divided between the finder and the property owner if not linked to criminal activity.
