Cardinals have concluded pre-conclave meetings in the Vatican to select a new pope following the death of Pope Francis. They emphasize the need for a leader who can unite the church and address contemporary issues, including the church's reputation and financial struggles. The conclave will begin soon, with cardinals expressing the importance of making the church relevant to younger generations and considering the growth of Catholicism in Africa and Asia. Geopolitical issues, particularly concerning China, also play a significant role in the selection process.
