A drone sighting at Munich airport caused disruptions, leading to 26 flight diversions. This incident is part of a rising trend of drone activities at German airports. Investigators struggle to identify drone operators, prompting a German company, Argus Interception, to develop a net-firing interceptor drone, the A1-Falke, to safely capture rogue drones. The system aims to address security concerns without causing collateral damage, especially near sensitive sites. The collaboration with US radar manufacturer Echodyne enhances detection and interception capabilities, responding to the increasing threat posed by drones over critical infrastructure.
