A Mark Rothko painting was damaged by a child at the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam. The painting, 'Grey, Orange on Maroon, No. 8', sustained superficial scratches. The museum is seeking conservation expertise and plans to restore the artwork, which is estimated to be worth up to €50 million. Previous incidents of damage by visitors have led to requests for repair costs, but responses vary, as seen in a similar case at the Hecht Museum in Israel.
