French Minister for Foreign Trade Nicolas Forissier warns that China will not benefit from a trade policy that harms Europe's industry and market. He emphasizes the need for a shift in approach towards all countries that exploit commercial dependencies. The EU is considering measures to reduce reliance on cheap Chinese imports, including sourcing from multiple suppliers and imposing tariffs on strategic sectors. Forissier advocates for a respectful dialogue with China amidst concerns over aggressive trade practices.
