Scientists have conducted over two decades of research to determine the true origins of Christopher Columbus, who reached the Americas in 1492. They exhumed remains believed to be his from Seville Cathedral and compared DNA samples with historical figures. A documentary will reveal findings, including that the remains in Seville are indeed Columbus's, although some may also be in the Dominican Republic. The birthplace of Columbus remains uncertain, with multiple claims from various regions, including Genoa, Galicia, and Mallorca. The documentary is set to air on Spain’s RTVE.
