Temperatures in Florida have dropped below freezing, causing snowflakes in Tampa Bay and thousands of cold-stunned green iguanas to fall from trees. These iguanas, which are an invasive species in Florida, become lethargic in cold temperatures and can fall when unable to grip branches. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission advises residents on how to handle these iguanas, with over 5,000 euthanised recently.
