In Ioannina, Greece, the CommonEn energy community addresses energy poverty through renewable energy initiatives, producing solar energy and integrating urban agriculture. Established in 2021, it has 53 members and 181 beneficiaries, significantly reducing electricity costs for members. Despite initial skepticism, the community has seen positive results, including job creation and lower energy bills.
