The Global Environment Facility has approved a €3.4bn funding package aimed at climate adaptation, biodiversity protection, and water security over the next four years. This initiative, supported by 186 countries, emphasizes the urgent need to address environmental challenges exacerbated by climate change. The funding will prioritize projects in least developed countries and initiatives led by Indigenous peoples.
