Cyprus is funding desalination plants for hotels to tackle tourism's water shortage woes
Cikk tartalma röviden
Cyprus plans to subsidize private desalination plants at hotels to ensure fresh water supply during busy summer seasons due to low water levels from a dry winter. The government will allocate €3 million for this initiative and an additional €8 million to fix water leaks. Cyprus has four permanent desalination plants and aims to increase fresh water production significantly over the next decade.
