Three elderly nuns, Sister Bernadette, Sister Regina, and Sister Rita, have returned to their convent in Elsbethen, Austria, after being unhappy in a care home. They regained access with the help of former students and a locksmith, expressing their joy at being back home. Church authorities are concerned about their health and the condition of the convent. Despite challenges, the nuns are determined to stay, supported by former students who believe they belong at the convent.
