Danish ambassador Jesper Moeller Soerensen reminded the US of their close defense ties and emphasized the importance of respecting Denmark's sovereignty. The situation arises amid Trump's interest in Greenland's strategic location and resources, despite most Greenlanders opposing US annexation.
