A recent study found that AI tools, specifically ChatGPT, are less effective than doctors and nurses in prioritizing emergency room patients. While AI shows potential in the medical field, it should not replace human decision-making in critical situations. Although AI performed better in identifying life-threatening cases, it often over-classified cases as urgent, highlighting the need for human oversight.
