King Mohammed VI of Morocco has advised against buying sheep for Eid al-Adha due to a significant decline in livestock caused by inflation and climate change. He emphasized the economic challenges faced by many families, as the cost of sheep has become unaffordable for a large portion of the population. The country has seen a 38% decrease in sheep and cattle herds since 2016, and the government is taking measures to stabilize prices, including importing livestock.
