Janez Jansa, the leader of the Slovenian Democratic Party (SDS), announced the preparation for government formation if the parliament approves a bill to reduce the number of ministries. Following the recent elections, where the SDS finished second, the previous prime minister Robert Golob failed to form a coalition and returned his mandate. Jansa now has the opportunity to form a right-wing coalition, although many argue that new elections might be a better option. The SDS plans to send a coalition agreement draft to potential partners if the proposal is accepted.
