QatarEnergy has signed a memorandum of understanding with ExxonMobil and Egypt's Ministry of Petroleum to explore the development and export of gas discovered off Cyprus through Egypt's infrastructure. This agreement positions QatarEnergy at the forefront of linking Cypriot gas fields with Egyptian facilities for European markets. Cyprus aims to transition from exploration to exploitation of its gas resources, with Egypt becoming a key player in exporting Cypriot gas. The plan is still in early stages, with no final investment decisions made yet.
