Máximo Napa Castro, a 61-year-old fisherman from Peru, went missing for 95 days after bad weather diverted him from his original route. He was found in critical condition by an Ecuadorian fishing boat near the northern coast of Peru. Despite his ordeal, he held on to life for the sake of his mother and newborn grandchild. He survived on birds and turtles before being rescued and taken to a hospital.
