Eni, an Italian energy company, has unveiled the HPC6 supercomputer, a significant investment in its oil and gas discovery technology and clean energy strategy. Costing over €100m, it features nearly 14,000 GPUs and aims to enhance data analysis for discovering new reservoirs and improving renewable energy production efficiency. The HPC6 is currently the fifth fastest supercomputer globally and was activated on Christmas Day in Ferrera Erbognone, Italy.
