EPP initiates discussing Beneš Decrees in European Parliament 😔

Jeroen Lenaers, a Dutch MEP, proposed that the European Parliament address new Slovak legislation threatening imprisonment for questioning the Beneš Decrees, which he claims violate the rule of law. The Tisza Party and Mi Hazánk representatives criticized the Hungarian government for not defending Hungarians in Slovakia against this legislation, which they argue discriminates based on ethnicity and violates fundamental rights. They called for partnerships to protect Hungarian communities abroad and urged the European Commission to take action.
