The EU employment rate reached a record high of 70.9% in Q4 2024, with eight member states also achieving all-time highs. The unemployment rate fell to 5.7% in February 2025, the lowest since 2000. Germany had the highest employment rate among the largest economies at 77.6%, while Spain had the highest unemployment rate at 10.4%. Iceland recorded the highest employment rate overall at 85.6%.
