The European Parliament’s Employment and Social Affairs Committee (EMPL) is seeking another hearing with Amazon after a previous meeting with the company's senior executives was canceled. The committee previously heard from trade unions and Amazon workers regarding workers' rights but not from Amazon itself. The company offered lower-level executives instead of the requested senior manager, leading to calls for further restrictions on Amazon. The Parliament has made the hearing a condition for Amazon regaining access to its premises, which was revoked due to missed hearings. Amazon expressed disappointment over the committee's decision and is seeking dialogue with the Parliament.
