The European Union has imposed sanctions on several Iranian airlines and the deputy defense minister for supplying ballistic missiles to Russia for use in Ukraine. The sanctions include asset freezes and travel bans on 14 individuals and entities, including three airlines and officials from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen supported the sanctions, emphasizing the need for a strong response to Russia's aggression.
