The EU has proposed new classifications for non-alcoholic wines to harmonise terminology across member states and support the growing market. The package includes definitions for 'alcohol-free', '0.0%', and 'alcohol-light', aiming to make wine labeling more consumer-friendly. This initiative follows a consultation to revitalize the wine sector and includes measures for increased planting flexibility, surplus prevention, and enhanced marketing regulations.
