The EU and Uzbekistan are set to sign an enhanced partnership and cooperation agreement later this year, as announced by European Council President António Costa during a trilateral meeting in Samarkand. The agreement aims to promote joint programs in various sectors, including innovation and green energy. A regional office of the European Investment Bank will be established in Tashkent. The upcoming EU-Central summit will focus on strengthening economic cooperation and is expected to result in the Samarkand Declaration, enhancing dialogue between Central Asia and the EU.
