Euronews Culture's Film of the Week: 'Rumours' - The 'official' satire of the G7 😔
Cikk tartalma röviden
Guy Maddin's latest film, 'Rumours', is a satirical take on G7 leaders meeting in rural Germany to address a global crisis. The film features a cast of characters parodying real-world politicians, leading to absurd situations as they become oblivious to an impending apocalypse. While the film starts strong with humor, it loses momentum in the second half and could have benefited from a shorter runtime. Despite its flaws, it serves as a reminder of the ineffectiveness of political leaders.
