Finland's Defence Minister Antti Häkkänen emphasizes the urgent need for Europe to enhance its defense capabilities, particularly in response to increasing drone threats from Russia. He highlights the challenges of countering these threats effectively and the necessity for immediate investments in defense spending, advocating for NATO allies to increase their GDP spending on defense from 2% to 5%. The concept of a 'drone wall' is introduced as a collaborative defense system among several European countries to secure NATO's eastern flank, although there are differing opinions on its implementation timeline.
