The European Film Awards celebrated the best in European cinema, with French film 'Emilia Pérez' winning multiple awards, including Best European Film and Best Director for Jacques Audiard. Karla Sofía Gascón won Best European Actress for her role in the film. The ceremony highlighted the need for diversity in award nominations, as one film often dominates the awards. Other notable winners included Abou Sangare for Best Actor and 'No Other Land' for Best Documentary. The event was smoother than previous years but still faced some presentation issues.
