The European Parliament's Legal Affairs committee will question the European Commission about its decision to withdraw the AI Liability Directive proposal, which aimed to provide consumers with a means of redress for harm caused by AI products. The proposal, introduced in 2022, has seen little progress. While some parliamentary groups support continuing work on the directive, others favor scrapping it.
