A European wastewater analysis project has shown increased use of MDMA, cocaine, and amphetamines in 128 cities across 26 countries. Conducted by the SCORE group and EUDA, the study analyzed drug consumption patterns among 68.8 million people. Cocaine and cannabis are the most used illicit drugs, with cocaine use rising significantly since 2016, particularly in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Spain. Cannabis use has declined in 2024, despite being the most widely used drug overall. The report highlights ongoing debates about cannabis regulation in Europe. Teljes cikk (Euronews.com)
